General Comments

A fungal pathogen of Pinus spp. indigenous to Europe. The UK risk rating has been calculated using the value at risk for the whole of the UK. As the pest is already present in parts of the UK (England and Scotland), Northern Ireland is currently free from the pest. The overall risk rating is expected to reduce considerably following a review which considers the value at risk for Northern Ireland only.
