Bird Hazard Management Training Courses
The average cost of a damaging birdstrike is estimated at £134,000. In 2010 the CAA reported 2258 birdstrikes the highest recorded yearly figure. Airline operators and insurers are now proactively seeking to recover costs from airports that cannot demonstrate best practice operation.
One vital element in showing your airport is up to date and using current best practice is to ensure your staff are fully trained in all aspects of bird hazard management.
By attending one of Fera's Bird Hazard Management courses delegates receive up-to-date best practice content delivered by experts in their field.
Fera experts have been instrumental in the development of IBSC guidelines and sit on advisory panels of International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the European Space Agency (ESA).
We work for 25 UK civil airports including all BAA airports; Fera also provide Bird Hazard Management services and training for the UK MoD and CAA.
The course provides an excellent opportunity to meet with other delegates from the airport industry.
