Sarah Hugo

Main interests in bringing together strands of expertise in the team, particularly in land use relating to the agri-environment and land use futures such as GM crops and crops for energy and other renewable resources. The team's expertise in collating and utilising data gathered in these areas is critical to our capability in this area. Sarah has a background in agriculture and horticulture, in particular non-food uses of crops and genetically modified crops.

In addition to team leader role, Sarah is also Head of the GM Inspectorate for England and is responsible for scientific licensing of the release of non-native biological control agents in England.
