The 2011 watercourse survey results for Ralstonia solanacearum are available here. No positive results were detected in 2011. In the absence of positive results on the Fossdyke Navigation since 2008, including intensified monitoring in 2011, this watercourse will now be de-designated.

Those who bring seed potatoes into England and Wales from other EU Member States are reminded that there is a legal obligation to notify such introductions in advance. The information provided facilitates monitoring by the Plant Health and Seeds Inspectorate for harmful diseases such as ring rot and brown rot and allows tracing in the event of problems. In the event of non-compliance, statutory action is taken reflecting the level of risk resulting from the infringement. Details of the notification system are available here.
