Additional declarations

Additional actions and declarations which need to appear on Phytosanitary Certificates associated with imports of plant health restricted material entering England and Wales

This document lists actions which need to be taken prior to export for pests and diseases of particular concern to the European Union. Where alternative options for meeting import requirements are available, details of the option used must appear in the Additional Declaration box of the Phytosanitary Certificate accompanying the consignment. Guidance on the wording that should be used is provided on each page.

All consignments entering England and Wales from non-EU countries will be physically inspected at the point of entry to ensure that the necessary actions have been taken, and a documentary check carried out to ensure that the necessary Additional Declarations appear on the Phytosanitary Certificate.
