How to find us

The Food and Environment Research Agency (Fera) is in Sand Hutton approximately 7 miles (11km) northeast of York. The city of York is about 230 miles (370km) north of London.

By Rail

York is on the East Coast mainline and is served by frequent trains from London. The journey time is approximately two hours. In addition, York can be reached by direct rail services from many other cities in the UK.

The nearest airport to Fera is Leeds/Bradford. As well as some direct international flights into Leeds Bradford, there are also internal flights from Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Gatwick, Heathrow, Southampton, Belfast and Dublin airports.

The journey time from Leeds/Bradford by road is around 50 minutes. A taxi to Leeds railway station will take around 30 minutes and a further 40 minutes to York by train.
