Learning and development
As a science based organisation and an accredited Investor in People, Fera supports a culture of Continuous Professional Development. Staff can access a full range of formal skills training as well as specialist skills development for their role. Development opportunities can include informal and formal training, mentoring, secondments, job-shadowing, and qualifications.
We have a Management Development Programme for staff which offers ongoing support and development for managers new to the role as well as for more experienced managers who wish to enhance their skills. We are in the process of expanding this into a Leadership Programme.
Staff new to Fera will be able to develop their own personal development plan in the light of the organisation's competencies framework, the requirements of their role and their own career development needs.
